A House With Five Separate Wings
One of the many things that I like about small houses is the uniqueness of some of the designs. You need to be creative when you design a little house so that you don’t miss out on any of the luxuries that you are used to having. The nice things is that you don’t need to do without.
The more people realize that living in a small house is a great idea for a better lifestyle, the better the designs seem to get. What I’m seeing is more and more fantastic ideas….which I’m keeping track of. When I build my own tiny house, I’ll be incorporating some of these ideas into my home.
Although this house is not really tiny (1184 square feet), it truly is unique and has a wonderful design.
“The Village House is our exploration of the possibilities of the summer cabin, the traditional Danish vacation home. While keeping our cabin’s footprint small, in every sense, we have imbued it with a wide range of spatial possibilities, by using a five-fingered floor plan.
We set out to revive the scale of the classic cabin. Our finished building measures only 110m². The smaller size means low maintenance costs and ease of use. But at the same time, we wanted to create a flexible solution for a growing family, whose needs will change over time.”
