Every once in awhile I come across a tiny rental house that catches my eye. This one seems to be really nicely done both inside and outside.
At 900 square feet, it’s not tiny but it does fall within the small footprint category. It was built using steel and stone; they boast that they used green friendly building methods. It is also located in an ecological area so everything would be as natural as ever and to be kept that way – that’s a good thing.
The location of the house is on the Taos de Fernando River, Taos, New Mexico. It’s nestled in a beautiful forest area alongside a river.
What’s good about this place is that there is something to do for every season – including hiking trails anytime and skiing during the winter months. If you want a little less action packed type of day, it is within a short driving distance to restaurants, galleries and museums.
The inside appears to be beautifully done which makes it just as comfortable inside and it is outside. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a very nicely appointed kitchen with what appears to be all the amenities you would need, and a super comfortable living room with fireplace (as far as I can tell it’s not a wood burning fireplace). The ceilings are 10 feet high, and there are lots of windows for lots of natural light.
Between the inside and the outside of the house, I’d say it’s a mixture of modern and aged. Whatever they were aiming for, they’ve done a nice job.
One of the biggest highlights would be the stone deck with a spa tub overlooking the river. That would be so relaxing and enjoyable after a day out and about.
This is the type of small rental house that I would love to spend some time in.
