Two Cabins By The Lakeside
I am continually amazed at the ideas that people come up with and make work out.
Here we have two families that came together to plan, design, and build a two-family lakeside compound for all-season vacations.
Each family has their own cabin (their own privacy) while sharing the property. The two-story cabins are built on top of one shared basement that houses all the mechanical needs (hot water tanks, electrical system) and a shared wrap-around deck. The main living areas are two completely separated living quarters with a kitchen, a living area, a bathroom and bedroom.
The two families pooled their resources to make this happen. They share the expenses by splitting all the costs such as utilities and maintenance.
They cabins are not big. In fact they are approximately 15×30 feet. Just enough room to be comfortable but not overwhelmed with work which leaves time to enjoy the outdoors and surrounding beauty.
The images are just gorgeous. They did a really nice job on the entire complex. Just ingenious planning and design so that they get to enjoy, relax and most importantly spend quality family time together.
