Touring Tiny Houses
We all know that living in a tiny house is becoming more and more popular every year. We know that because of how many people are building and living in them.
Some people choose to build one to live in as their full-time home, others build one for their summer cottage – their get-a-way, and then there are the rentals.
I think renting one of these wee houses for a few days to a few weeks (or even longer if you can) is a great way to find out if you would like living in one short or long term.
Experiencing the lifestyle for a time would save you money and grief if you put all that time and money into building one only to find out it isn’t quite what you thought it would be like.
It’s also the perfect solution for anyone that is interested but isn’t sure that they could manage or handle living in such a small place.
I often say to people that they should experience it before making a comment or deciding it is or isn’t for them. You never know…. it may be the perfect solution to improving your quality of life.
One of the places that has tiny house rentals is opening it’s doors on a few selected Sunday afternoons so that you can take a look inside and see and learn what it is all about.
Caravan, which is located in Portland, Oregon is actually what they call a hotel that consists of a bunch of tiny houses for rent.
The first tour of the year is scheduled for Sunday, February 22nd.
The second will be on March 1st.
Registration is only $10 per person.
What you get in return is a presentation from the staff and from local builders of these types of places,, a tour of the houses that aren’t occupied at the time and the opportunity to get a personal view and ideas of these types of houses.
Each of their homes is custom made so no two are alike.
